How common is Poké Ball in Miraidon deck lists?

Poké Ball appeared in 173 of the 173 current tournament lists across all builds. That makes it worth checking when you compare your collection with a list. The count tells you how often the card appeared, not how many copies to run; use the full list for the exact count.

Which Trainer Cards Do Miraidon Decks Use?

Build Energy first, then choose the turn to move it

Keep the second attacker in hand until its ability matters

A Miraidon ex deck uses B3a-019, a 140-HP Lightning Basic with the Future label. Its ability can activate once during your turn when you play it from hand onto the Bench. If you choose the switch into the Active Spot, all your Energy in play moves to it. Merely having Miraidon on the Bench does not let you repeat this action later.

Hadron Ray costs three Colorless and deals 20 plus 20 for each attached Lightning Energy. With three Lightning it deals 80; with five it deals 120, before other effects. For this Miraidon deck, the decision is whether that damage justifies moving Energy away from every other attacker. A Knocked Out Miraidon ex gives up two points.

Charge Magneton before choosing its evolution

Magneton A1-098 is the energy engine of these Miraidon decks. The 80-HP Stage 1 evolves from Magnemite; once during your turn, Volt Charge can attach a Lightning Energy from the Energy Zone to itself. Its own attack costs one Lightning and three Colorless for 60 damage, so charging it need not mean attacking with it.

Magnezone B1a-026 evolves from Magneton and has 150 HP. Its 90-damage attack costs one Lightning and two Colorless. The Defending Pokémon must flip to attack during the opponent's next turn, and tails stops that attack. If you still need Volt Charge this turn, use it before evolving: Magnezone's printed card has no such ability. Evolving trades that continuing charging ability for a different attacker in the Miraidon build.

Distinguish Zeraora's first turn from later draws

Zeraora A3a-021 is a 90-HP Basic whose ability attaches a Lightning Energy to itself at the end of your first turn. Playing it later does not create a new first turn. This timing makes the starting board relevant to the Zeraora version of the Miraidon deck.

Zeraora attacks for 50 with two Lightning and retreats for one Energy. Before moving all Energy with Miraidon, check whether you still need that separate attacker. The two-Zeraora tournament example below demonstrates the slot choice; it does not prove that every Miraidon list needs two.

Use Oricorio against the damage its ability names

Oricorio A3-066 is the 70-HP Lightning Basic with Safeguard. It prevents damage from attacks by the opponent's Pokémon ex to itself. It does not say that attacks from ordinary Pokémon are blocked. Its attack costs one Lightning and one Colorless for 50, and retreat costs one.

In an Oricorio Miraidon deck, moving this protected Pokémon out of the Active Spot also changes which Pokémon takes the next attack. The selected Garchomplucario123 submission uses two Oricorio and one Miraidon ex. Its role and protection therefore need checking before committing the ex; Safeguard is not protection for the whole board.

Lisia finds two random Basic Pokémon with 50 HP or less. Magnemite B1a-024 qualifies: it has 50 HP and attacks for 30 with one Lightning. Miraidon ex and Magneton do not meet that search condition. Clemont instead takes two random cards among Magneton, Heliolisk and Clemont's Backpack from the deck. Removing these search slots from a Miraidon build loses their specific access to the evolution line.

Treat Turo as a shuffle, not an immediate replay

Professor Turo shuffles one of your Future Pokémon in play into the deck. Miraidon ex has that label, but Turo does not put it directly into your hand. To use the entry ability again, you would still need to find it and play it from hand onto the Bench under the printed conditions.

Only one Supporter can be played during your turn. In the Miraidon deck that contains Turo, choosing it also uses the Supporter opportunity that could have gone to drawing or searching. The Brendon68 example includes one Turo; that adoption shows a real slot, not a measured advantage or a recommendation to add it to every build.

Count target control, HP and retreat separately

Cyrus can bring a damaged opposing Benched Pokémon Active. Sabrina instead makes the opponent switch and choose the replacement. Before concentrating Energy in a Miraidon deck, check which effect can actually expose the target your damage calculation requires.

Giant Cape adds 20 HP, taking an undamaged 140-HP Miraidon ex to 160 maximum HP; it does not heal damage. Only one Tool can be attached per Pokémon. Miraidon ex has Fighting Weakness +20 and retreat cost two. Paying that retreat cost leaves less Energy for its next attack.

Compare the two submitted plans before copying

The November 4, 2026 Garchomplucario123 original has a 2-2-2 Magnemite line, two Oricorio and one Miraidon ex. The October 29 Brendon68 original has a 2-2-1 line, two Miraidon ex and two Zeraora. Both are complete 20-card tournament submissions, available in the selected external sources. These examples explain the different resource plans of the Miraidon decks without attributing all aggregated results to either player.
